Nature and walks

They are many flare-paths. You can travel them on foot, on horseback, with a ordinary pedal bike or a mountain bike. They allow you to discover the Haut Val de Sèvre area with varied grounds which promote the climbing such as the Puits d'Enfer in Exireuil.
The whole region shows the presence of mountain ranges that had covered the country in the past.
The Sèvre rising in Sepvret flows into a sink-hole which reminds you of the Rhone plain between La Mothe-Saint-Héray and Saint-Maixent.

canoe It flows 115 km further into Aiguillon's bay.
It is allowable to fish, (only with licence) and canoe on the river.

You can also find the Hermitain forest in the Haut Val de Sèvre. It's the last element of the Sylva Sava (forest of the Sèvre) whose clearing had permitted the settling of the first groups of humans in the region.
Some beautiful paths allow walks among oaks and chesnuts, main species, but also ashes and silver birches.
