Dedicated to Saint-Maixent.
From the romanesque church remains a beautiful two-storied porch bell-tower with semicircular openings. Point out the curves of portal, decorated, arch-stone by arch-stone, with foliated scrolls in shape of S, with quadrupeds and with 6 personages, maybe Christ and some apostles.
The sole nave, ribbed vaults, ends with a chevet.

Wooden coverred-markets

Pamproux has preseved its picturesque wooden covered-markets that lean against an old house with ground floor in arch.

In former times, the vineyards took up a large area in Pamproux. This cultivation started again few years ago.This revival is celebrated every year in October. It is the grape harvest fair.
