Castles in Haut Val de Sèvre

The castle was listed as an ancient monument in 1929. It is the architectural finial of Poitou-Charentes.
It was first a feudal motte and then, a fortress erected by a great family, the Lusignan. Robert Cunningham rebuilt it during the second half of the 15th century. 800 years of history await you from the top of this keep of castle, which has seen the great ones of our history approach its walls : Saint Louis, Hugues de Lusignan, Louis XI and some families of noble birth, de Craon, Chalon, Saint-Gelais...

The lake

Plan d'eau The lake of Cherveux Saint-Christophe invites you to have a good time in water and nature surroundings. It welcomes campers, walkers and all other lovers of nature.
